    In 2007 company founder Arpi Berdin approached his senior managers with an offer to purchase the Edmonton operations of Arpi’s Industries. In an inspiring entrepreneurial story, Don Grundy and Todd Grundy made the decision to move from the position of executive and trade qualified managers to company owners.

  • What is Arpi’s North philosophy on health and safety?

    The safety of our employees is paramount to Arpi’s North. We have a strict safety policy, abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ensure all our employees are aware of the standards and abide by them as well. Safety audits are done regularly on job sites by the Corporate Safety Officer and annually by external auditors. We have our Certificate of Recognition since 2007 and the company has scored no less than 92%. The company employs a Corporate Safety Officer who visits each job site to ensure standards are being adhered to.

    YOUCAN Youth Services

    YOUCAN Youth Services is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to empowering youth to gain the knowledge, resources and skills required to live healthy lives out of harm’s way. Our mission is to engage young people to transform their lives by interrupting the cycle of harm. With their mission in mind, all of YOUCAN Youth Services programming is designed and dedicated to assisting young people in transitioning out of harms way, back into community, employment, and education.

    University of Alberta Golden Bears Football

    Giving back to the University of Alberta Golden Bears Football club provides university students with the means to achieve their education and football dreams. Sports and physical activities have always been important to the Arpi’s North team, as a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Arpi’s North is proud to support the potential leaders of tomorrow, with the opportunity to excel through their education while balancing a healthy and active lifestyle.

    Kids Kottage Foundation

    Kids Kottage is Edmonton’s first and only crisis nursery, with a mandate to prevent child abuse and neglect before it becomes a way of life. Arpi’s North has been sponsoring the Kids Kottage Foundation since 2012 by donating their Sky Suite for an Oilers game as an auction item, this has helped raise a significant amount of funds, equivalent of keeping 70 children safe for one day, as well as offering the entire scope of support, counseling and skill building to their parents when their families are in crisis and have nowhere else to turn.

    Scholarships

    Helping apprentices afford to go to school to learn their trade and become ticketed is very significant to Arpi’s North, whether they become an employee or not. The AIT Board of Family Scholarships recognizes excellence in the trades. Arpi’s North is proud to provide scholarships for these deserving future tradespeople.
